Travel without Food is not complete especially when you are in Amchi Mumbai. Mumbai is a place of people who have tangy tongue. You will find lot of stuff to eat. Due to its cosmopolitan status you can find cuisine not only form different parts of India but different parts of world. From Aloo paratha to Onion Uttapa you will find everything. But still there are some dishes that needs special mention here without which your travel is incomplete.

1. Mumbai Special Vada Pav
The Indian version of Hot Dog is really tongue licking. It is said that without a wada pav a mumbaikar is not complete. This is a daily dose for so many commuters in mumbai. Fried Besan(Gram Flour) covered Potato inside a pav with fried green chilli in other hand Guys you can't just handle it. No one can eat just one.

2. BhelPuri

After tongue licking wada pav it's time for bhelpuri.This sweet and sour will just fill your mouth with water. Your trip to chaupati is incomplete without having a plate of bhelpuri. Lots of different chatnis will make your eyes wide open.

3. DahiPuri

Golgapa filled with dahi(curd) and a sweet sauce over it will simply make you dance. This is one of the best cuisines you can have in mumbai. 

4. Kanda Poha

Kanda poha is a small version of salty rice.Made of chidwa it taste great when server with "nimbu nichodke" and namkeen with onion. This is a daily breakfast of lot of people in mumbai.
5. Missal Pav


This dish is a very special dish having bada namkeen soaked in vatana bhaji.When eaten with pav it tastes great.
6. Pav Bhaji


Pav Bhaji -Every "chatora" knows about this dish .pav soaked in butter eaten with bhaji.The great dish made of meshed vegetables like potato,cauliflower will make you sink in it's taste.There are special Pav Bhaji centres in south mumbai famous for their special pav bhaji. 
7. PaniPuri

To make a girl happy take her to pani puri center.The "Khata-Mitha" pani puri or "Golgappas" as called in North India is one of the favorite cuisine of Indians. How can you forget the Golgappa competition in "Rab ne bana di jodi". 
8. SevPuri

Another dish form the family of puris.After bhelpuri,dahipuri and panipuri it's time for sevpuri. This is different form other puri's as it is dry where as others are wet full of tasty chutni.
9. Ragda Pattie

Allo ki tikki as called in North India is ragda pattie in mumbai. Fried meshed potatoes having combination of different chutnis is simply great. Here you will find special heart shaped patties with dahi and chutnies on top.
10. Jhunka Bhakri

The food of poor not only good in taste but good for health.It is said that the Jhunka (Besan ki sabzi) if unable to bring tears in your eyes( due to chiili) is not worth it.It is a maharashtrian dish of jowar(sorghum) ki roti with  jhunka (gram flour dish) with a chilli chutnie is woth eating if you want taste with nutrition.
